Men Role In Buddhism

In Buddha religion household responsibilities are to be equally split between the man and woman in marriage. Some of the duties in Buddhism is running the family business or negotiating sales with neighbors. Men role in Buddhism is to respect their wives as partners and friends, not slaves to be commanded. Its with great love and respect that a man should treat his wife, not with anger or hatred
Another role of men is to be Buddhist monks. They engage in Buddhist way of life that they dedicate their lives to following The Four Noble Truths and five precepts to the letter. They also adopt additional code of conduct known as the Vinaya, which provides more specific instructions on how to live rather than general philosophies. Another role of men is to take a vow of celibacy upon entering into their agreement. While this is taking place certain monks refuse to even have contact with women at all.
I feel the role of men in Buddhism is just following rules as to how to do thing. Also I feel in Buddhism you have to make commitments and sacrifices, but I like that in the religion men and women are seen as equal and this is not the case in other religions.
