Some Americans think
Muslim women were forced to cover themselves completely, denied their education
and other rights. Muslim women all over the world have struggled against
inequality, work force, and family roles. Many of the practices not occur in
the Islamic religion but also from other local cultural traditions. Islam gives women some rights. Islamic women had rights that western women didn’t
have until the 19-century. For example Muslim women retain their own assets.
Also they are allowed to keep their own last name after marriage.
I feel in the Islamic
religion they just have roles for women so they can respect themselves, as well
as be respected. They cover up as a sign of respect and only some are denied
education because they feel women should stay home and help with family and
teach the younger children how to act when older.

I actually agree with this idea. They are not necessarily forced to do this they are just taught to act this way. It is sad that even if they did want to wear something they can't but for the most part it's just what they're used to. It does give a sense of having more respect for themselves as well and even maybe teaches men to have a little more respect for the female body.
